1st Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025

The First Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nahata High School Alumni Association was successfully held on 10th May 2025. The meeting brought together alumni members to review the Association's activities, discuss future initiatives, strengthen alumni engagement, and take important decisions concerning the growth and development of the Association. Members actively participated in the deliberations and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Nahata High School and its student community.

Following the presentation of the Secretary's Report, the General Body approved the expansion of the Executive Committee from the existing ten-member body to an eighteen-member one. The proposal received the unanimous support of the members present at the AGM. The expanded committee includes the appointment of a Treasurer and an Assistant Treasurer.

The following key resolutions were adopted during the meeting -

1. Financial Assistance for Meritorious and Needy Students:
It was resolved to provide financial assistance to meritorious and needy students of Classes VII, VIII, IX, X, and XII, with three students to be selected from each class. It was further decided that a deserving student from Class XII (Science) would be awarded the Late Bhabanipada Sarkar Memorial Scholarship.
To oversee the selection process, a six-member Mulyayan Sub-Committee comprising members of the Alumni Association was constituted to identify and finalize the beneficiaries.

2. Career Counselling Programme:
The AGM resolved to organize career counselling programmes for students of Classes IX, X, XI, and XII at least three times each year, with the objective of guiding students in their academic and professional pursuits.

3. Tribute to Late Satyendra Chandra Naha
It was further decided that the Association would replace the existing statue of our respected former Headmaster, Late Satyendra Chandra Naha, with a newly commissioned one. The Association also decided to clean and beautify the area surrounding the memorial by developing a garden adjacent to the altar as a mark of respect and remembrance.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to contribute meaningfully towards the welfare of the school, its students, and the surrounding community.
