Student Felicitation, Financial Assistance & Career Counselling Programme 2025

The Nahata High School Alumni Association, the organization of former students of Nahata High School, extended financial assistance to meritorious yet economically disadvantaged students of the school with the objective of promoting education.

The Association donated one Smart Board and eight computers to the school.

In addition, 3 meritorious and financially underprivileged students from each of Classes VII, VIII, IX, X, and XII were given financial help. Those 3 students from each of Classes VII and VIII received ₹4,000 each, students of Classes IX and X received ₹5,000 each, and students of Class XII received ₹6,000 each.

This year, Mr. Dilip Sarkar, an notable alumnus of the school, provided financial assistance of ₹8,765 to a meritorious and economically disadvantaged student who had been promoted from Class XI to Class XII, in memory of his late father, Mr. Bhabanipada Sarkar. It may be noted that Mr. Dilip Sarkar had previously donated ₹1,25,000 to the school. The amount of ₹8,765, generated as interest from that donation, was handed over to the student on this occasion.

As part of the programme, career counselling sessions for students of Classes IX, X, XI, and XII were conducted by Mr. Nihar Ranjan Bala, Mr. Prasad Kumar Ghorami, Mr. Gokul Sarkar, Mr. Dipak Chaki, Mr. Dilip Sarkar, Dr Krishnendu Bhowmik, former teacher Mr. Monindranath Sarkar, and Mr. Anshupati Roy.

Among those present at the event were Mr. Anshupati Roy, Secretary of our Alumni Association; Mr. Pranay Biswas, President; Mr. Ashok Mondal, Vice-President; Mr. Biswajit Baidya, Headmaster of the school; former Headmaster Mr. Piyush Kanti Sen; former Teacher-in-Charge Mr. Nikhilranjan Talukdar; and Mr. Gobinda Dalal, Assistant Headmaster. Teachers of the school and other members of the Alumni Association were also present.
